• A Brooklyn native, Alexander Krivosheiw’s interest in art manifested by the age of five. He spent hours constructing three-dimensional forms with wood blocks in his father’s garage. As a teen, he was selected to participate in a marble sculpting program undertaken in Greece. After two years of carving Greek deities on the Island of Crete, he returned to New York City to study sculpture at the School of Visual Arts. While enrolled, Alexander began his seven-year apprenticeship with respected metal sculptor Kevin Barrett where he developed and refined his fabrication skills for large form sculpture. Some of the notable works Alexander fabricated during that time were wall reliefs for the painter Tom Wesselmann, which have since become museum pieces.

Since opening his West Palm Beach studio in 2013, Alexander has shown work throughout galleries and in exhibitions worldwide resulting in many private and public aquisitions. He has been commissioned by influential real estate developers and such leaders as President Bach of the International Olympic Committee. Alexander was selected to sculpt the President’s Trophy, a bronze gilded in 24-karat gold, bestowed to world leaders, dignitaries and admired global icons. The maquette is featured in the permanent collection at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Most recently, Alexander completed his most challenging commission to-date, a six-work sculpture park. Originally intended as a collaboration of several sculptors, the art consultant recognized Alexander’s remarkable ability to create works of vastly different artistic styles while maintaining a distinct visual language. He was commissioned to create the entire collection. View An Artist's Intention to preview the six original works.
