BRAMAN'S LEGACY maquette
2017 | Welded, Painted Bronze Wall Relief with Integrated L.E.D Lighting | 40” x 30” x 15"
Proposed 25' Public Model for Braman Motorcars Dealership
A contemporary wall relief providing a visual interpretation of the life & legacy of automotive tycoon Norman Braman. The abstracted forms are a chronological interpretation of Norman’s life. Starting with a Cadillac fender circa 1932 (Norman’s birth year) which is the brand that started his long line of dealerships, to other sculptural, car-inspired elements including BMW’s first radial engine cylinders, jet engine cowlings, a Bentley tire tread mark and Porsche’s grille plates. Finally, the ultimate symbol of the mogul’s attainment of the American Dream, stars and stripes.
